SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER & NOVEMBER -- 2011

     The Operation UpLift Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards Nomination period is open September 1, thru November 30, 2011.  The competition is open to adults, youth and organizations that highlight the Proviso Township and surrounding communities.

     There will be two new categories added to the list of awardees: The Margaret T. Burroughs Life Time Achievement Award, and the Leon S. Brown Memorial Youth Award.  The decision of the Operation UpLift, Inc. Governing Board of Directors is final.

     The presentations will be bestowed at the 24th Annual Dr. M.L.K. Birthday Luncheon on January 14, 2012.  The gala is entitled Achieving Fulfillment of The Dream, and will be held at the Diplomat West, in Elmhurst.  Corporate sponsorships are invited.
