Northica Hillery-Stone, of Bellwood, and President/CEO of Operation UpLift Center and the West Town Museum, was recently named September Person of The Month.


The recognition was presented by the Black McDonald’s Owners & Operators Association, known as BMOA, over the WVON Radio Emily & Friends Talk Show.


Ms. Stone was selected from a number of entries from over the Metropolitan Chicago area, and was lauded for her 50 years of making a difference in the lives of over 6,000 low to medium income families throughout Proviso Township communities, and the Katrina Relief Project.
She was nominated by Jessie A. Nolen, a volunteer of the West Town Museum of Cultural History.


The recognition included a live WVON interview, a personalized plaque, and a $500.00 monetary award.
